Os cientistas da gigante tecnol\u00f3gica criaram neur\u00f4nios e sinapses artificiais capazes de imitar a capacidade cognitiva de aprendizado de nosso c\u00e9rebro.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>O laborat\u00f3rio da IBM construiu uma rede de 500 neur\u00f4nios artificiais para estudar sua funcionalidade na transfer\u00eancia de dados. O projeto se destaca pelo uso de materiais j\u00e1 conhecidos e por oferecer um design de f\u00e1cil r\u00e9plica, e de baixo consumo de energia.<\/p>\n<p>A nova cria\u00e7\u00e3o utiliza <strong>materiais que mudam de fase<\/strong> para armazenar e processar dados, uma novidade que representa um marco no desenvolvimento de redes neurais que podem ser aplicadas na computa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Divulgada pelo jornal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nnano\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Nature Nanotechnology<\/a>, a inven\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 o resultado de <strong>dez anos de pesquisas<\/strong>. Entretanto, como afirmou um dos cientistas da IBM, Evangelos Eleftheriou, ainda ser\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios muitos anos para que um chip com esta\u00a0inven\u00e7\u00e3o esteja dispon\u00edvel no mercado.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Copiando o c\u00e9rebro<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o do neur\u00f4nio artificial, os cientistas analisaram como poderia ser poss\u00edvel criar <strong>capacidades vers\u00e1teis de grandes popula\u00e7\u00f5es de neur\u00f4nios<\/strong>. Comparar os sistemas biol\u00f3gicos \u00e0s densidades e microvoltagens foi realmente um desafio.<\/p>\n<p>A resposta est\u00e1 na varia\u00e7\u00e3o aleat\u00f3ria dos neur\u00f4nios artificiais.
