Foram medidos os n\u00edveis ativos e inativos da vitamina D, al\u00e9m das caracter\u00edsticas f\u00edsicas e uma medida de volume muscular.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Um dos autores do estudo, o doutor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.birmingham.ac.uk\/staff\/profiles\/metabolism-systems\/hassan-smith-zaki.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Zaki Hassan-Smith<\/a>, destacou a import\u00e2ncia da vitamina D para o fortalecimento dos m\u00fasculos, mas lembrou que ainda faltam estudos para comprovar a sua efic\u00e1cia para o corpo humano. \u201cEntendemos bem como a vitamina D ajuda a fortalecer os ossos, mas, todavia, necessitamos aprender mais sobre como funciona para os m\u00fasculos\u201d, disse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstudos pr\u00e9vios analisaram as formas inativas da vitamina D no sangue com o fim de medir a defici\u00eancia de vitamina D. N\u00f3s fomos capazes de desenvolver um novo m\u00e9todo de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00faltiplas formas da vitamina D, junto com extensas provas sobre a composi\u00e7\u00e3o corporal, a fun\u00e7\u00e3o muscular e a express\u00e3o g\u00eanica muscular\u201d, comentou o pesquisador da Universidade de Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resultados<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No estudo, as mulheres que tinham menos gordura corporal apresentaram menos probabilidades de possuir altos n\u00edveis de vitamina D inativa, o que indica uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre a vitamina e a composi\u00e7\u00e3o corporal.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00e1 a forma ativa da vitamina se associou \u00e0 massa magra.
