A <a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/european-union\/about-eu\/agencies\/efsa_pt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ag\u00eancia Europeia de Seguran\u00e7a Alimentar (EFSA)<\/a> considerou, em 2015, como um risco o consumo de algas marinhas neste continente.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Em parte, por falta de controle na comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o, como aponta o pesquisador e bioqu\u00edmico espanhol Jos\u00e9 Miguel Mulet. \u201cA luz verde para a venda das algas na Europa aconteceu porque tradicionalmente se consome em alguns pa\u00edses, como Irlanda; o problema \u00e9 que se est\u00e1 comercializando qualquer tipo de alga e nem todas s\u00e3o comest\u00edveis\u201d, afirmou para o jornal <a href=\"https:\/\/elpais.com\/elpais\/2017\/09\/20\/buenavida\/1505914563_573103.html?id_externo_rsoc=FB_CC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Pa\u00eds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Outra quest\u00e3o importante \u00e9 a presen\u00e7a de iodo neste alimento. Especialmente por causa do excesso deste qu\u00edmico \u00e9 que muitos se preocupam pelo consumo das algas. O nutricionista Ram\u00f3n de Cangas, do Comit\u00ea Assessor do Conselho Geral Dietistas-Nutricionistas, afirma que \u201cs\u00f3 uma grama de algas como kombu, wakame ou nori excede em cinco ou mais vezes o limite di\u00e1rio recomendado de consumo de iodo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>As tiroides podem se desenvolver devido \u00e0s doses excessivas de iodo, como j\u00e1 foi demonstrado <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elsevier.es\/es-revista-medicina-clinica-2-articulo-ingestion-habitual-algas-e-hipertiroidismo-13090717\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">em estudos documentados<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Se oferece riscos \u00e0 sa\u00fade, por que os orientais consomem algas?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A China \u00e9 o maior produtor de algas comest\u00edveis, de acordo com a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para o Alimento e a Agricultura (FAO). E o Jap\u00e3o cont\u00e9m uma variedade de pratos compostos por estas.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com o <a href=\"http:\/\/jmmulet.naukas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bioqu\u00edmico Jos\u00e9 Miguel Mulet<\/a>, \u201cos japoneses possuem uma flora intestinal capacitada para digerir algas e eliminar o excesso de iodo, por tanto, as mesmas em um japon\u00eas n\u00e3o provocam os mesmos efeitos que em um europeu\u201d, explica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quest\u00e3o de quantidade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Os consumidores europeus que t\u00eam interesse no consumo das algas deveriam analisar especialmente as doses recomendadas de iodo nas algas.
