{"id":15736,"date":"2018-04-15T10:23:55","date_gmt":"2018-04-15T10:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.funiber.org\/pt\/?p=15736"},"modified":"2018-04-13T10:39:47","modified_gmt":"2018-04-13T10:39:47","slug":"funiber-carne-florestas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.funiber.blog\/pt\/meio-ambiente\/2018\/04\/15\/funiber-carne-florestas","title":{"rendered":"Ind\u00fastria da carne na Europa amea\u00e7a florestas na Am\u00e9rica do Sul"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Estudo realizado por ONG ecol\u00f3gica alerta sobre a responsabilidade do consumo de carne na Europa no aumento de desmatamento na regi\u00e3o do Gran Chaco, na Am\u00e9rica do Sul<\/h2>\n<p>De acordo com um estudo desenvolvido pela <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mightyearth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ONG Mighty Earth<\/a>, a enorme demanda por soja, especialmente nos pa\u00edses europeus, est\u00e1 provocando o desmatamento de florestas na Am\u00e9rica do Sul, nas regi\u00f5es do chamado Gran Chaco, entre a Argentina, o Paraguai e a Bol\u00edvia.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A soja alimenta grande parte dos animais criados em granjas na Europa e comp\u00f5e uma das fontes mais b\u00e1sicas da dieta alimentar destes animais.<\/p>\n<p>Estima-se que a Europa importou em 2016 um total de 46,8 milh\u00f5es de toneladas de soja, sendo a metade proveniente da Am\u00e9rica Latina. De acordo com o estudo da organiza\u00e7\u00e3o, titulado \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mightyearth.org\/avoidablecrisis\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A crise evit\u00e1vel: a cat\u00e1strofe ambiental da ind\u00fastria europeia da carne<\/a>\u201d, este consumo de soja necessitou 8,8 milh\u00f5es de hectares de florestas, \u201co que equivale a uma \u00e1rea maior que a \u00c1ustria\u201d, destacam.<\/p>\n<p>Falta uma legisla\u00e7\u00e3o, e uma press\u00e3o social, que conserve os bosques nesta regi\u00e3o da pr\u00e1tica da agropecu\u00e1ria e agricultura em grande escala, realizando algo similar ao que ocorreu com a Amaz\u00f4nia, quando empresas como a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cargill.es\/es\/inicio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cargill<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bungeiberica.com\/bungeKC\/Home.action\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bunge<\/a> e ADM, foram desestimulados a comprar de agricultores que exploravam a regi\u00e3o amaz\u00f4nica.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m do desmatamento, muitas vezes usando fogo que amea\u00e7a com a fauna e a flora nativas, os cultivos de soja em grande escala trazem tamb\u00e9m problemas com o uso dos agroqu\u00edmicos que al\u00e9m de contaminar o ambiente, tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o uma amea\u00e7a para a sa\u00fade da popula\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>No estudo da ONG, relata-se um aumento de doen\u00e7as respirat\u00f3rias, cancer\u00edgenas e m\u00e1s-forma\u00e7\u00f5es gen\u00e9ticas associado com o uso destes produtos qu\u00edmicos para a agricultura transg\u00eanica, usada no cultivo da soja.<\/p>\n<p>O Chaco \u00e9 uma das regi\u00f5es ambientais mais importantes da Am\u00e9rica do Sul, com uma grande biodiversidade, com solos com alta fertilidade e uma topografia mais plana, que favorece a pr\u00e1tica da agricultura.<\/p>\n<p>Para atuar a favor da conserva\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental, uma forma\u00e7\u00e3o de qualidade poder\u00e1 capacitar os profissionais para atuar em prol de um desenvolvimento econ\u00f4mico sustent\u00e1vel.
