Uma equipe de pesquisadores da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (USP), junto com a Universidade de Campinas (Unicamp), avaliou o potencial antioxidante, anti-inflamat\u00f3rio e a composi\u00e7\u00e3o fen\u00f3lica de dez frutas brasileiras pouco estudadas no \u00e2mbito cient\u00edfico.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Como destacam os pesquisadores, os fen\u00f3licos presentes em alguns alimentos podem atuar como antioxidante, ou seja, ajudando a prevenir doen\u00e7as como as cardiovasculares e a diabete. Para conhecer as propriedades destas frutas, a equipe usou como t\u00e9cnica a espectrometria de massas de alta resolu\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>As dez frutas analisadas foram:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ara\u00e7\u00e1-boi (<em>Eugenia stipitata<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>cambuit\u00ed-cip\u00f3 (<em>Sagerectia elegans<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>murici vermelho (<em>Bysonima arthropoda<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>murici guass\u00fa (<em>Byrsonima lancifolia<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>morango silvestre (<em>Rubus rosaefolius<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>cambuci (<em>Campomanesia phaea<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>jaracati\u00e1-mam\u00e3o (<em>Jacaratia spinosa<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>juquirioba (<em>Solanum alterno-pinatum<\/em>),<\/li>\n<li>fruta-do-sabi\u00e1 (<em>Acnistus arborescens<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>caj\u00e1 (<em>Spondias mombin L.<\/em>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Entre as frutas analisadas, o ara\u00e7\u00e1-boi, o cambuit\u00ed-cip\u00f3, o murici vermelho, o morango silvestre e o caj\u00e1 apresentaram maiores atividades antioxidantes e\/ou anti-inflamat\u00f3rias. De acordo com os pesquisadores, \u201cesta \u00e9 a primeira vez que se relata a presen\u00e7a de antocianinas no cambuit\u00ed-cip\u00f3 e murici vermelho\u201d. \u201cEstas frutas, quando consumidas regularmente como alimentos funcionais, poderiam ajudar na preven\u00e7\u00e3o de doen\u00e7as cr\u00f4nicas n\u00e3o transmiss\u00edveis\u201d, concluem.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.who.int\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial da Sa\u00fade<\/a> e a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fao.org\/brasil\/pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para a Agricultura e a Alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a> publicaram relat\u00f3rio em 2017 recomendando o consumo m\u00ednimo de 400 gramas de grutas e vegetais por dia. Uma dieta saud\u00e1vel pode ser especialmente ben\u00e9fica para popula\u00e7\u00f5es de pa\u00edses menos desenvolvidos, para a prote\u00e7\u00e3o de doen\u00e7as card\u00edacas e o c\u00e2ncer, entre outras.<\/p>\n<p>A pesquisa mostra um valor importante que as frutas pouco conhecidas podem ter para o cuidado da sa\u00fade. Como afirma a engenheira de alimentos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jackeline-soares-812265145\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jackeline Soares<\/a>, co-autora do estudo, \u201cexiste a necessidade de buscar novos alimentos que, al\u00e9m de nutrir, apresentem atividades biol\u00f3gicas que possam inibir ou amenizar danos oxidativos\u201d, defende.<\/p>\n<p>Dar a import\u00e2ncia devida aos alimentos de proximidade, num pa\u00eds com grande biodiversidade, poderia ser uma estrat\u00e9gia de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o saud\u00e1vel e acess\u00edvel, al\u00e9m de novas possibilidades econ\u00f4micas.
