Estima-se que este pat\u00f3geno \u00e9 capaz de provocar danos em mais de 350 esp\u00e9cies, com consequ\u00eancias desastrosas para o setor agr\u00edcola.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nas \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, a contamina\u00e7\u00e3o desta bact\u00e9ria vem crescendo em todo o mundo, e novos pa\u00edses, como o Ir\u00e3 e Taiwan recentemente detectaram a presen\u00e7a da praga.<\/p>\n<p>Por enquanto, a solu\u00e7\u00e3o adotada na Europa para impedir a expans\u00e3o da praga \u00e9 destruir todas as \u00e1rvores e vegetais infectados. As medidas de destrui\u00e7\u00e3o seguem diretrizes elaboradas pela Uni\u00e3o Europeia, segundo consulta com cientistas. Os agricultores italianos, atingidos fortemente pela infec\u00e7\u00e3o em planta\u00e7\u00f5es de oliveira, protestam por considerar a destrui\u00e7\u00e3o massiva das \u00e1rvores uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o exagerada.<\/p>\n<p>Um estudo recente, publicado na revista <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41477-018-0189-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Nature Plants<\/em><\/a>, prop\u00f5e um novo m\u00e9todo que poderia evitar a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o da praga e a destrui\u00e7\u00e3o do cultivo. De acordo com pesquisas realizadas por uma equipe internacional, quanto antes se encontre a infec\u00e7\u00e3o na planta, mais efetiva ser\u00e1 a conten\u00e7\u00e3o da bact\u00e9ria e a preserva\u00e7\u00e3o da colheita.<\/p>\n<p>Por isso, os pesquisadores criaram um m\u00e9todo de controle remoto atrav\u00e9s de esc\u00e2ner com avi\u00f5es ou drones, que fotografam as planta\u00e7\u00f5es por cima e podem ajudar a salvar a colheita.
