Os programas de yoga duraram de 8 a 26 semanas.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com as medidas agrupadas, os participantes do yoga mostraram uma qualidade de vida moderadamente melhorada relacionada \u00e0 sa\u00fade em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com os grupos de controle que n\u00e3o praticaram ioga.<\/p>\n<p>Os participantes do yoga tiveram uma melhoria pequena mas significativa no bem-estar mental em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o resto dos grupos. Os efeitos colaterais adversos do yoga foram leves, como dor no joelho ou dor muscular.<\/p>\n<p>Atualmente, n\u00e3o h\u00e1 orienta\u00e7\u00e3o sobre yoga para idosos. No entanto, em 2011, o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS Choices<\/a> publicou um <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/live-well\/exercise\/guide-to-yoga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gu\u00eda<\/a> relacionado \u00e0 atividade f\u00edsica para idosos (acima de 65 anos).
