Mark Moore, pesquisador da Nasa, prop\u00f5e ir ainda mais acima para produzir energia. De acordo com o pesquisador, se for desenvolvido dispositivos para gerar energia e\u00f3lica acima dos nove mil metros de altura, esse produto poder\u00e1 gerar \u201centre 20 mil a 40 mil watts por metro quadrado\u201d, conseguindo reduzir os custos de gera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia, pois, na superf\u00edcie, s\u00f3 \u00e9 poss\u00edvel alcan\u00e7ar at\u00e9 500 watts por metro quadrado com turbinas sobre a terra. \u00c9 por esta raz\u00e3o que a Nasa investe dede de 2010 no desenvolvimento de sistemas que permitam captar energia e\u00f3lica me grandes alturas.<!--more-->Moore indica que o problema que esta tecnologia radica \u00e9 que as pesquisas em torno de seu desenvolvimento s\u00e3o desenvolvidas por pequenas empresas e esta est\u00e3o apenas comprovando o conceito sem se preocupar com quest\u00f5es geogr\u00e1ficas. Para o Moore, este tipo de pesquisa deveria ser realizada pelo governo.<\/p>\n<p>O pesquisador assinala que n\u00e3o se trata apenas de invetigar a tecnologia, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio investigar tamb\u00e9m em torno de outros concorrentes pelo espa\u00e7o a ocupar. Moore indica que para o desenvolvimento deste tipo de tecnologias deveriam estabelecer-se dois estudos: um que abranja a tecnologia e a geografia, e outro que envolva a intera\u00e7\u00e3o entre esses elementos e outros concorrentes pelo espa\u00e7o.<\/p>\n<p>Moore teve a oportunidade de avaliar o trabalho da empresa italiana Twist, em torno de sistemas que utilizam globos especiais sobre uma plataforma para gerar energia. Mas, para estabelecer sistemas e\u00f3licos no espa\u00e7o a\u00e9reo, \u00e9 preciso reservar no m\u00ednimo 3.2 Km quadrados de forma que as plataformas n\u00e3o causem acidentes a\u00e9reos.
