A pesquisa mostra que baixas concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de micronutrientes est\u00e3o associadas ao aumento do risco de problemas de sa\u00fade<\/h2>\n<p>Um\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/jn\/article-abstract\/148\/12\/1924\/5231145\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">estudo<\/a>\u00a0realizado pela Universidade do Estado de Oregon (Estados Unidos) indica que idosos que adicionaram avel\u00e3s \u00e0 sua dieta por alguns meses melhoraram significativamente seus \u00edndices de dois micronutrientes essenciais: magn\u00e9sio e vitamina E.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A pesquisa, publicada no peri\u00f3dico <a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/jn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Journal of Nutrition<\/em><\/a><em>,\u00a0<\/em>foi conduzida com 32 pessoas com mais de 55 anos que comeram aproximadamente 57 gramas de avel\u00e3 todos os dias, durante 16 semanas.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de um exame de sangue e urina realizado nos participantes, os pesquisadores puderam observar um aumento nos \u00edndices de magn\u00e9sio no sangue ao final de 16 semanas, bem como \u00edndices urin\u00e1rios elevados de um produto de degrada\u00e7\u00e3o de alfa tocoferol, comumente conhecido como vitamina E.<\/p>\n<p>Um dos coautores do estudo, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Alexander_Michels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alex Michels<\/a>, pesquisador do\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lpi.oregonstate.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instituto Linus Pauling<\/a>\u00a0da Universidade do Estado de Oregon, explica que essa \u00e9 uma das primeiras vezes que um estudo sobre avel\u00e3s focado apenas em idosos \u00e9 realizado.<\/p>\n<p>Pesquisas mostram que baixas concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de micronutrientes est\u00e3o associadas a um aumento do risco de problemas de sa\u00fade relacionados \u00e0 idade, incluindo a doen\u00e7a de Alzheimer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA vitamina E e o magn\u00e9sio s\u00e3o dois dos micronutrientes menos consumidos na popula\u00e7\u00e3o dos Estados Unidos\u201d, explica Michels, que acrescenta que as avel\u00e3s s\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m uma grande fonte de gorduras saud\u00e1veis, cobre e B6. \u201cAs pessoas n\u00e3o gostam de tomar multivitam\u00ednicos, mas as avel\u00e3s representam um multivitam\u00ednico de forma natural\u201d, conclui.<\/p>\n<p>Para todas as pessoas interessadas no estudo das mudan\u00e7as f\u00edsicas, sociais e mentais em idosos, a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.funiber.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0FUNIBER<\/a>\u00a0patrocina o\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.funiber.org.br\/mestrado-em-gerontologia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mestrado em Gerontologia<\/a>.
