A recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 praticar atividades f\u00edsicas e alimentar-se bem<\/h2>\n<p>A sarcopenia \u00e9 uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o cr\u00f4nica em que os m\u00fasculos e a massa muscular est\u00e1 debilitada. \u00c9 um processo fisiol\u00f3gico que ocorre no envelhecimento, mas que pode ser evitado com a pr\u00e1tica de atividades f\u00edsicas.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Segundo um estudo realizado nos Estados Unidos que analisou a morfologia de mais de 13 mil pessoas, com dados coletados entre 1999 e 2004, a perda da massa muscular pode ocorrer em todas as idades, e est\u00e1 relacionado com o aumento do risco de morte em pacientes doentes.<\/p>\n<p>O resultado deste estudo oferece mais evid\u00eancias sobre a cren\u00e7a que a massa muscular pode ser um sinal da vitalidade, assim como os n\u00edveis de glucose no sangue, a press\u00e3o sangu\u00ednea e o batimento card\u00edaco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cO m\u00fasculo \u00e9 a principal reserva de prote\u00ednas do organismo, e \u00e9 um regulador dos n\u00edveis de glicose sangu\u00edneos, porque a consome quando nos movemos\u201d, explica <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Begona_Baena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bego\u00f1a Molina<\/a>, endocrin\u00f3loga e nutricionista, em entrevista para <a href=\"https:\/\/elpais.com\/elpais\/2019\/02\/18\/buenavida\/1550495254_034785.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">o jornal El Pa\u00eds<\/a>. Ao ter volume baixo, o corpo se enfraquece e est\u00e1 mais suscet\u00edvel \u00a0a sofrer doen\u00e7as ou incapacidades.<\/p>\n<p>O pico mais alto da massa muscular se encontra quando temos 25 anos. Nesta idade, nossa musculatura ocupa 30% da massa corporal, uma m\u00e9dia comum nas pessoas saud\u00e1veis. A partir dos 50 anos, essa massa muscular come\u00e7a a decrescer. Aos 80 anos, a massa muscular pode chegar a 15% da massa corporal.<\/p>\n<p>Por\u00e9m, essa redu\u00e7\u00e3o dr\u00e1stica pode ser evitada com uma dieta saud\u00e1vel e a pr\u00e1tica de atividades f\u00edsicas, especialmente com exerc\u00edcios de for\u00e7a.
