Desde o dia 20 de maio h\u00e1 uma nova defini\u00e7\u00e3o para esta medida, que antes estava associada a uma pe\u00e7a met\u00e1lica localizada na Oficina Internacional de Pesos e Medidas da Fran\u00e7a.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ap\u00f3s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bipm.org\/en\/cgpm-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Confer\u00eancia Geral de Pesos e Medidas (CGPM)<\/a> que ocorreu em novembro, em Versalhes (Fran\u00e7a), a refer\u00eancia do quilograma passa a ser a constante de Planck (h), que \u00e9 fundamental para a f\u00edsica qu\u00e2ntica. A constante, por sua caracter\u00edstica invari\u00e1vel, adiciona mais valor de precis\u00e3o e universalidade para que cient\u00edficos possam medir o quilo.<\/p>\n<p>Esta mudan\u00e7a ocorre porque pesquisadores constataram que a massa do cilindro, que era refer\u00eancia para o quilo, havia variado em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com outras seis c\u00f3pias realizadas no final do s\u00e9culo XIX. Esta pequena varia\u00e7\u00e3o poderia representar um problema para a ci\u00eancia e a ind\u00fastria.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inti.gob.ar\/autoridades\/hector-laiz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">H\u00e9ctor Laiz<\/a>, presidente do<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sim-metrologia.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Sistema Interamericano de Metrologia<\/a>, em entrevista para o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/es-ve\/noticias\/ciencia\/desde-este-lunes-el-kilogramo-dejar%C3%A1-de-ser-lo-que-era\/ar-AABAwkS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">jornal Clar\u00edn<\/a>, \u201c a partir de agora, todas as unidades ser\u00e3o definidas com base em constantes da natureza, em lugar de artefatos, propriedades de materiais ou experimentos te\u00f3ricos irrealiz\u00e1veis, como ocorre na atualidade\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m do quilo, tamb\u00e9m sofreram modifica\u00e7\u00f5es as medidas de ampere, kelvin e mol.
