Quando dormimos, nosso corpo se organiza e ajuda a manter as nossas fun\u00e7\u00f5es end\u00f3crinas funcionando regularmente.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Por exemplo, o horm\u00f4nio do crescimento \u00e9 estimulado enquanto o corpo descansa. Este horm\u00f4nio ajuda a fortalecer os m\u00fasculos. Al\u00e9m disso, dormir bem, melhora o desempenho cardiovascular, o que diminui a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de fadiga.<\/p>\n<p>Um estudo recente, publicado na revista <em><a href=\"https:\/\/insights.ovid.com\/crossref?an=00005768-900000000-96516\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Medicine &amp; Science in Sports &amp; Exercise<\/a>, <\/em>buscou conhecer quais seriam os efeitos da falta de sono depois de um exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico associado ao dano muscular. O principal objetivo era identificar se esta falta de sono estaria relacionada com alguma modifica\u00e7\u00e3o nos n\u00edveis hormonais e de citocinas.<\/p>\n<p>As citocinas t\u00eam papel importante para mediar e regular a resposta inflamat\u00f3ria e imunit\u00e1ria.<\/p>\n<p>Para o estudo, os pesquisadores seguiram um protocolo de exerc\u00edcios que consistia em 240 contra\u00e7\u00f5es exc\u00eantricas dos m\u00fasculos extensores do joelho. Os participantes, num total de 10 homens, usaram um dinam\u00f4metro isocin\u00e9tico para\u00a0<strong>quantificar a fun\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>\u00a0e o\u00a0<strong>desempenho muscular<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Em um dos experimentos, a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o deste protocolo de exerc\u00edcios foi seguido de um per\u00edodo de priva\u00e7\u00e3o de sono total de 48 horas e 2 horas de sono normal. J\u00e1 em outro experimento, os exerc\u00edcios foram seguidos por 3 noites de sono regular.<\/p>\n<p>Para identificar os efeitos do sono nestes participantes, foram analisados nas mostras de sangue os n\u00edveis de alguns horm\u00f4nios e outros marcadores de citocinas.
