Na Am\u00e9rica Latina, povos ind\u00edgenas lutam para manter sua l\u00edngua nativa, mas estima-se que uma em cada cinco comunidades j\u00e1 n\u00e3o usam o pr\u00f3prio idioma.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Segundo o relat\u00f3rio <a href=\"http:\/\/documents.worldbank.org\/curated\/en\/541651467999959129\/pdf\/98544-WP-P148348-Box394854B-PUBLIC-Latinoamerica-indigena-SPANISH.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cLatinoam\u00e9rica ind\u00edgena del siglo XXI\u201d, elaborado pelo Banco Mundial<\/a>, apesar da escola chegar \u00e0s comunidades ind\u00edgenas, persistem ainda muitos problemas relacionados \u00e0 escola formal no que se refere \u00e0 educa\u00e7\u00e3o ind\u00edgena.<\/p>\n<p>Em parte, a qualidade do ensino faz com que muitos pais optem por levar as crian\u00e7as ind\u00edgenas \u00e0s cidades. Por outro lado, os idiomas oficiais, espanhol ou portugu\u00eas, dependendo da regi\u00e3o, imperam e dificultam que os povos ind\u00edgenas continuem falando na pr\u00f3pria l\u00edngua.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo o estudo do Banco Mundial, quanto mais educa\u00e7\u00e3o formal recebe uma comunidade ind\u00edgena, menos possibilidades ter\u00e3o seus moradores de continuar usando a l\u00edngua nativa. O estudo indica que apenas 2% dos ind\u00edgenas que terminam a educa\u00e7\u00e3o terci\u00e1ria mant\u00eam o conhecimento sobre o idioma materno.<\/p>\n<p>Desta maneira, o relat\u00f3rio destaca que a oferta educativa n\u00e3o melhora as oportunidades laborais, e amea\u00e7a \u00e0 diversidade lingu\u00edstica. A <a href=\"https:\/\/repositorio.cepal.org\/bitstream\/handle\/11362\/44269\/1\/S1800949_es.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Comiss\u00e3o Econ\u00f4mica para a Am\u00e9rica Latina e o Caribe\u00a0 (CEPAL) tamb\u00e9m elaborou um estudo<\/a> para analisar a educa\u00e7\u00e3o intercultural e bil\u00edngue nos sistemas educativos latino-americanos.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo este estudo, h\u00e1 uma nega\u00e7\u00e3o hist\u00f3rica, que come\u00e7ou a mudar a partir dos anos 90 do s\u00e9culo passado, das l\u00ednguas ind\u00edgenas. N\u00e3o faz muito tempo que a regi\u00e3o come\u00e7ou a desenhar pol\u00edticas educativas que reconhe\u00e7am a diversidade ind\u00edgena e afrodescendente latino-americana.<\/p>\n<p>Falta sistematizar a educa\u00e7\u00e3o bil\u00edngue, aumentando a oferta de escolas e professores capacitados. Por exemplo, no Peru, apenas 38% das crian\u00e7as ind\u00edgenas v\u00e3o \u00e0s classes no idioma nativo, e menos da metade dos professores que lecionam nestas aulas falam o idioma. No Brasil, embora 90% dos professores das escolas bil\u00edngues ind\u00edgenas falam a l\u00edngua nativa, por\u00e9m apenas 13% t\u00eam estudos universit\u00e1rios.<\/p>\n<p>Sem d\u00favida, como destacam o Banco Mundial e o CEPAL, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio repensar as escolas para os ind\u00edgenas, e saber se estes sistemas educativos contribuem para o desenvolvimento multicultural da regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.funiber.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FUNIBER<\/a> patrocina estudos para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de professores.
