Especificamente, concentra-se na decis\u00e3o dos estados de Virg\u00ednia Ocidental, Delaware e Nova Jersey por usar a plataforma <a href=\"https:\/\/democracylive.com\/omniballot-online\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OmniBallot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDescobrimos que o OmniBallot usa uma abordagem simplista para a vota\u00e7\u00e3o na Internet, que \u00e9 vulner\u00e1vel \u00e0 manipula\u00e7\u00e3o de votos, seja por malware no dispositivo do eleitor, por funcion\u00e1rios do sistema eleitoral ou por pessoas que podem comprometer o Democracy Live, Amazon , Google ou Cloudflare\u201d, destacaram Michael Specter e J. Alex Halderman, os pesquisadores respons\u00e1veis pelo relat\u00f3rio.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, os usos com os dados s\u00e3o variados: \u201cpoderiam alterar os resultados eleitorais sem que sejam detectados; mas mesmo que n\u00e3o houvesse ataque, as autoridades n\u00e3o teriam como demonstrar que os resultados foram precisos.
