Estes sintomas podem incluir: perda do gosto ou do cheiro, problemas de mastiga\u00e7\u00e3o, falta de apetite, depress\u00e3o, entre outros. Estes, por sua vez, podem influenciar a desnutri\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 importante tratar este problema precocemente, pois ele tem s\u00e9rias consequ\u00eancias para a sa\u00fade dos idosos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A desnutri\u00e7\u00e3o pode ser ou sobre ou subnutri\u00e7\u00e3o e representa um estado nutricional inadequado. No caso de desnutri\u00e7\u00e3o deficit\u00e1ria, ela \u00e9 frequentemente referida como &#8220;desnutri\u00e7\u00e3o proteico-energ\u00e9tica ou desnutri\u00e7\u00e3o mista&#8221;. Quando ocorre em idosos, permite o esgotamento dos nutrientes necess\u00e1rios, como vitaminas A, C e D, \u00e1cido f\u00f3lico, magn\u00e9sio, c\u00e1lcio ou
