O colisor volta a colidir part\u00edculas para criar fa\u00edscas de energia primordial.<\/h2>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nO LHC \u00e9 o maior acelerador de part\u00edculas do mundo. Est\u00e1 no centro da pesquisa sobre o b\u00f3son de Higgs, tamb\u00e9m conhecido como a &#8220;part\u00edcula de Deus&#8221; porque o campo que produz d\u00e1 aos \u00e1tomos sua massa.<\/p>\n<p>Sem o campo de Higgs, estrelas, planetas e vida n\u00e3o teriam surgido. Compreender fen\u00f4menos como esses, assim como a mat\u00e9ria escura e os buracos negros, \u00e9 essencial para os cientistas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Esta \u00e9 uma part\u00edcula que respondeu algumas perguntas para n\u00f3s e nos deu muitas outras&#8221;, diz a Dra. Sarah Demers, professora de f\u00edsica da Universidade de Yale, nos Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>A instala\u00e7\u00e3o do acelerador com 27 quil\u00f4metros de di\u00e2metro emula as condi\u00e7\u00f5es que existiam fra\u00e7\u00f5es de segundo ap\u00f3s o Big Bang, a explos\u00e3o que criou o universo h\u00e1 13,7 bilh\u00f5es de anos.<\/p>\n<p>Para fazer as observa\u00e7\u00f5es, os cientistas do LHC enviaram part\u00edculas colidindo em velocidades tremendas para tentar criar o Higgs. Apesar dessa constata\u00e7\u00e3o, ainda h\u00e1 muitas perguntas sem resposta.<\/p>\n<p>Algumas dessas perguntas incluem: De onde veio o universo? Por que \u00e9 feito de mat\u00e9ria em vez de antimat\u00e9ria? O que \u00e9 &#8220;mat\u00e9ria escura&#8221;?
