Les\u00f5es esportivas ou relacionadas ao trabalho s\u00e3o a causa mais comum de tendinite, mas pode acontecer com qualquer pessoa. O risco de tendinite tamb\u00e9m aumenta com a idade. \u201cOs tend\u00f5es perdem a sa\u00fade \u00e0 medida que envelhecemos e se tornam menos capazes de lidar com a carga\u201d, diz Evan Flatow, cirurgi\u00e3o ortop\u00e9dico do Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, em Nova York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualquer atividade que exija tor\u00e7\u00e3o repetida do pulso, agarrar, pular ou dobrar, puxar, empurrar ou levantar pode irritar o tend\u00e3o. Alguns dos lugares mais comuns onde a condi\u00e7\u00e3o se desenvolve s\u00e3o os ombros, cotovelos, m\u00e3os, pulsos, joelhos e tornozelos. Jardineiros, carpinteiros, m\u00fasicos e outras pessoas cujo trabalho imp\u00f5e estresse constante aos tend\u00f5es correm alto risco de desenvolver tendinite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A tendinite \u00e9 geralmente uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o de curta dura\u00e7\u00e3o se tratada precocemente. No entanto, se o tend\u00e3o continuar a se deteriorar, ele pode voltar. Ent\u00e3o voc\u00ea pode fazer exerc\u00edcios suaves para fortalecer os tend\u00f5es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se um tend\u00e3o se romper, pode ser necess\u00e1ria uma cirurgia para reparar o dano. Pesquisadores financiados pelo NIH, como Flatow, est\u00e3o desenvolvendo novas t\u00e9cnicas para reparar e regenerar tend\u00f5es sem cirurgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O exerc\u00edcio regular ajuda a manter os m\u00fasculos, ossos e tend\u00f5es fortes. Al\u00e9m disso, reduz o risco de les\u00f5es e tendinites.
