A Dra. Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ednez Madrid (Universidade de M\u00farcia, Espanha) diz que \u201ca luz sincroniza o ciclo circadiano\u201d. Embora seja ben\u00e9fico diminuir a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 luz \u00e0 noite, \u00e9 igualmente \u00fatil aument\u00e1-la durante o dia, saindo de casa. Dr. Mart\u00ednez Madrid sugere receber um m\u00ednimo de duas horas de luz natural por dia. \u201cSe voc\u00ea n\u00e3o est\u00e1 exposto \u00e0 luz durante o dia, a melatonina n\u00e3o \u00e9 sintetizada \u00e0 noite. O ciclo circadiano \u00e9 um mecanismo que precisa desse contraste: luz natural durante o dia e escurid\u00e3o \u00e0 noite. Sem essa exposi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 luz natural, ficamos mais sonolentos e menos ativos fisicamente, e n\u00e3o dormimos bem \u00e0 noite&#8221;, explica Mart\u00ednez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outro benef\u00edcio de passar mais tempo ao ar livre \u00e9 uma vis\u00e3o mais saud\u00e1vel. &#8220;Mais tempo ao ar livre protege contra a miopia em crian\u00e7as n\u00e3o m\u00edopes&#8221;, diz Mart\u00ednez. A oftalmologista Rosario G\u00f3mez de Lia\u00f1o garante que \u201cos raios ultravioleta da luz natural influenciam v\u00e1rios mecanismos f\u00edsicos. Por exemplo, h\u00e1 diferentes impactos f\u00edsicos nas crian\u00e7as que leem em ambientes fechados ou ao ar livre por causa da luz, n\u00e3o porque focam seus olhos em dist\u00e2ncias diferentes quando brincam ao ar livre.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sair de casa tamb\u00e9m ajuda na sa\u00fade mental. Quando fazemos atividades, como passear, \u201cvemos que existe outro mundo l\u00e1 fora. Isso nos faz perceber que poder\u00edamos nos sentir melhor se sa\u00edssemos mais&#8221;, diz Juan Ignacio Aragon\u00e9s, professor de psicologia social da Universidade Complutense de Madri e membro da PSICAMB, a associa\u00e7\u00e3o espanhola de psicologia ambiental.
