Os pa\u00edses vencedores s\u00e3o Ar\u00e1bia Saudita, Dinamarca, Litu\u00e2nia, Pol\u00f4nia, Ar\u00e1bia Saudita e Tail\u00e2ndia. Esses pa\u00edses foram al\u00e9m da ado\u00e7\u00e3o de pol\u00edticas pr\u00e1ticas eficientes baseadas em sistemas de vigil\u00e2ncia e fiscaliza\u00e7\u00e3o. Monitorar as pol\u00edticas e aplic\u00e1-las \u00e9 essencial para otimizar e preservar os benef\u00edcios para a sa\u00fade decorrentes da elimina\u00e7\u00e3o dos \u00e1cidos graxos trans produzidos industrialmente.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os \u00e1cidos graxos trans s\u00e3o gorduras semiss\u00f3lidas ou s\u00f3lidas que podem ser de origem industrial ou natural. A ingest\u00e3o dessas gorduras est\u00e1 associada a um maior risco de ataques card\u00edacos e a n\u00edveis mais altos de colesterol prejudicial no corpo. Essas gorduras n\u00e3o trazem benef\u00edcios \u00e0 sa\u00fade e os alimentos que cont\u00eam grandes quantidades de gorduras trans, como fast foods e lanches embalados, tendem a ser ricos em a\u00e7\u00facares, sal e gordura, al\u00e9m dos \u00e1cidos graxos trans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pol\u00edticas para reduzir o uso de \u00e1cidos graxos trans<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Atualmente, um total de 53 pa\u00edses j\u00e1 possui pol\u00edticas ideais para reduzir as gorduras trans em alimentos produzidos industrialmente, o que melhorar\u00e1 significativamente o ambiente alimentar de 3,7 bilh\u00f5es de pessoas, 46% da popula\u00e7\u00e3o mundial. Estima-se que essas pol\u00edticas salvem aproximadamente 183.000 vidas a cada ano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As pr\u00e1ticas eficientes relacionadas \u00e0s pol\u00edticas de elimina\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1cidos graxos trans s\u00e3o baseadas nos crit\u00e9rios da OMS. Ele acrescenta que, embora a batalha contra as gorduras <em>trans<\/em> esteja sendo vencida, os pa\u00edses sem regulamenta\u00e7\u00e3o correm o risco de se tornarem locais de dumping para produtos com \u00e1cidos graxos trans. Os governos e o setor de alimentos t\u00eam o dever de evitar que isso aconte\u00e7a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A OMS tamb\u00e9m enfatizou a import\u00e2ncia de substituir as gorduras trans por op\u00e7\u00f5es mais saud\u00e1veis e sustent\u00e1veis. Sugere o uso de \u00f3leos vegetais n\u00e3o hidrogenados e o consumo de alimentos frescos e naturais.
