Identificar os fatores que influenciam esse desempenho permite implementar interven\u00e7\u00f5es oportunas para prevenir a reprova\u00e7\u00e3o e o abandono escolar. Um estudo recente realizado por pesquisadores equatorianos aplicou modelos de Machine Learning para prever e explicar o desempenho acad\u00eamico, com foco em alunos com hist\u00f3rico de reprova\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Metodologia do estudo:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O estudo utilizou uma abordagem quantitativa com desenho n\u00e3o experimental e an\u00e1lise ex post facto, com base em uma popula\u00e7\u00e3o de 12.211 estudantes universit\u00e1rios. As informa\u00e7\u00f5es foram coletadas por meio de um question\u00e1rio de 32 itens que abrangia aspectos sociodemogr\u00e1ficos, socioecon\u00f4micos, emocionais, institucionais-acad\u00eamicos, autoefic\u00e1cia e autocontrole, vinculados ao sistema de matr\u00edcula do aluno. Al\u00e9m disso, foram integradas sete vari\u00e1veis acad\u00eamicas institucionais. Foram treinados tr\u00eas algoritmos de classifica\u00e7\u00e3o supervisionada: Random Forest, XGBoost e CatBoost. Para interpretar os resultados do modelo, foi utilizado o m\u00e9todo SHAP. O processamento e a an\u00e1lise dos dados foram realizados em Python utilizando o Google Colab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resultados obtidos:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O modelo CatBoost apresentou o melhor desempenho, alcan\u00e7ando um recall de 70% para a classe \u201creprovado\u201d. Os indicadores mais influentes na previs\u00e3o de reprova\u00e7\u00e3o foram: faculdade, curso, n\u00edvel ou ciclo acad\u00eamico, estado emocional, aten\u00e7\u00e3o docente e desempenho acad\u00eamico anterior.
