De acordo com a pesquisa, a ingest\u00e3o de carboidratos (CHO) ex\u00f3genos atrav\u00e9s de bebidas esportivas melhora a oxida\u00e7\u00e3o, e apresenta benef\u00edcios na pr\u00e1tica esportiva prolongada e intensa.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Os pesquisadores estudaram 12 ciclistas do sexo masculino, triatletas e ciclistas estilo <i>mountain bike,<\/i> durante seis semanas com nove visitas ao laborat\u00f3rio, no total. No treino f\u00edsico, eles deveriam realizar no primeiro dia um treino de longa dura\u00e7\u00e3o, nos segundo e terceiro dias um percurso de dura\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e9dia, no quarto dia duas horas pedalando de maneira controlada num laborat\u00f3rio. O quinto dia era para descansar, retomando no sexto dia uma rota experimental. No \u00faltimo dia, eles deveriam fazer um percurso de 1 a 2 horas para a recupera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Antes de come\u00e7ar os exerc\u00edcios, os ciclistas deveriam ingerir 400ml de uma bebida preparada, e durante a atividade, 200ml a cada intervalo de 15 minutos durante umas duas horas. Quatro bebidas diferentes foram preparadas, tr\u00eas com frutose, glicose e maltodextrina.
