Um estudo publicado na revista <a href=\"http:\/\/archinte.jamanetwork.com\/journal.aspx\">JAMA Internal Medicine<\/a> indica que esta dieta pode ajudar a <strong>prevenir doen\u00e7as como a dem\u00eancia senil ou o Alzheimer<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Depois de quatro anos acompanhando um grupo de 447 participantes, com idade m\u00e9dia de 67 anos, foi poss\u00edvel identificar que as pessoas que consomem <strong>um litro de azeite virgem por semana ou 30 gramas de frutas secas por dia<\/strong>, alcan\u00e7aram melhores qualifica\u00e7\u00f5es que o grupo de controle.<\/p>\n<p>O Dr. Emili Ros, do servi\u00e7o de Endocrinologia e Nutri\u00e7\u00e3o do Hospital Cl\u00ednico de Barcelona, comentou, depois de analisar o estudo, que \u201co<strong>s efeitos ben\u00e9ficos da dieta Mediterr\u00e2nea devem-se ao fato de a dieta conter uma grande quantidade de agentes anti-inflamat\u00f3rios e antioxidantes\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>O estudo demonstra que a dieta mediterr\u00e2nea pode ajudar as pessoas a reduzirem o impacto das doen\u00e7as neurodegenerativas, como a doen\u00e7a de Alzheimer.<\/p>\n<p>O trabalho foi desenvolvido com a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o da Dr\u00aa.
