A cria\u00e7\u00e3o de um dispositivo de visualiza\u00e7\u00e3o de realidade aumentada pela grande empresa de inform\u00e1tica foi um dos eventos mais esperados, mas, apesar do interesse inicial, o projeto vem\u00a0sendo adiado e reinventado.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>As constantes mudan\u00e7as no projeto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tr\u00eas anos ap\u00f3s o an\u00fancio inicial,<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.funiber.org\/pt\/tecnologias-tic\/2012\/07\/26\/sony-lanca-projeto-interativo-de-oculos-semelhante-ao-google\" target=\"_blank\"> o Google Glass ter\u00e1 de enfrentar um mercado muito mais hostil que o esperado<\/a><\/strong>. Assim, a empresa decidiu encerrar seu programa atual de Exploradores, nome dado aos desenvolvedores de aplicativos. Al\u00e9m disso, o projeto dos \u00f3culos deixou o laborat\u00f3rio de testes, o<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.funiber.org\/pt\/formacao-professores\/2013\/12\/09\/google-lanca-portal-com-excursoes-virtuais-interativas\" target=\"_blank\"> Google X<\/a>, para passar a ter instala\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00f3prias.<\/p>\n<p>O Google Glass n\u00e3o \u00e9 muito diferente de outros prot\u00f3tipos de dispositivos eletr\u00f4nicos e suas mudan\u00e7as constantes n\u00e3o s\u00e3o algo fora do comum. No entanto, o fato de essas mudan\u00e7as virarem not\u00edcia constantemente n\u00e3o costuma ocorrer com frequ\u00eancia. Esta inven\u00e7\u00e3o nos traz uma vis\u00e3o que merece ser explorada, mas a Google, sem d\u00favidas, cometeu um erro ao torn\u00e1-la t\u00e3o vis\u00edvel e dar muita publicidade para um projeto inacabado.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As poss\u00edveis fun\u00e7\u00f5es<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A primeira aplica\u00e7\u00e3o evidente parece ser no mundo da empresa, em que as necessidades e as expectativas s\u00e3o diferentes. Outros cen\u00e1rios onde o Google Glass pode se estabelecer com for\u00e7a s\u00e3o os shoppings virtuais, gra\u00e7as a outros projetos, como o aplicativo para o Banco Sabadell, que permite a cobran\u00e7a de cheques com um \u00fanico gesto. Os centros cir\u00fargicos s\u00e3o outro lugar onde os \u00f3culos de realidade aumentada poderiam ser de grande ajuda. Quem demonstra isso \u00e9 Hospital Cl\u00ednico de Barcelona, que realizou um procedimento de transplante de rim utilizando o Google Glass.<\/p>\n<p>Esta \u00faltima possibilidade est\u00e1 ganhando for\u00e7a, conforme demonstra o aplicativo em desenvolvimento pela companhia farmac\u00eautica Amirall, que pretende facilitar o trabalho dos m\u00e9dicos. A proposta \u00e9 possibilitar resolver d\u00favidas que surjam ou consultar novos avan\u00e7os mantendo as m\u00e3os livres para continuar operando. O Google Gass tamb\u00e9m facilita a transmiss\u00e3o de cirurgias abertas com menos custos. Estas vantagens despertaram o interesse da <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stanford.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Universidade de Stanford<\/a> neste tipo de projeto.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A concorr\u00eancia cresce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No entanto, <strong>a Google n\u00e3o \u00e9 a \u00fanica que se lan\u00e7ou a fazer pesquisas sobre a realidade aumentada<\/strong>, suas concorrentes mais pr\u00f3ximas s\u00e3o a Microsoft e a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magicleap.com\/#\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Magic Leap<\/a>. Tanto o projeto do Hololens quanto o da outra companhia ainda est\u00e3o em processo de desenvolvimento, mas a reformula\u00e7\u00e3o do Google Glass situa os tr\u00eas projetos no mesmo ponto.<\/p>\n<p>Quando a Google iniciou este projeto, a ideia do Android Wear era muito inovadora, mas, hoje, muitas empresas adotaram esta tend\u00eancia, produzindo e colocando no mercado dispositivos como os rel\u00f3gios inteligentes, que realizavam as fun\u00e7\u00f5es que inicialmente seriam feitas pelo Google Glass, mas a um pre\u00e7o menor.<\/p>\n<p>Um dos principais problemas que a Google enfrenta \u00e9 a meta de ajustar o pre\u00e7o ao mercado atual, lembrando que os rel\u00f3gios inteligentes podem ser adquiridos a pre\u00e7os em torno dos 250 d\u00f3lares comparados com os 400 ou 500 d\u00f3lares estimados para serem o valor do Google Glass.
