A pesquisa foi realizada pelo Centro M\u00e9dico Beth Isreal Deaconess, da Harvard Medical School, nos Estados Unidos. De acordo com os pesquisadores, o consumo de nozes produz mudan\u00e7as ben\u00e9ficas nos genes cancer\u00edgenos.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>O estudo publicado no Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry indica que <strong>ao ingerir o equivalente a 60 gramas de nozes ao dia, pode-se causar modifica\u00e7\u00f5es nos micro \u00e1cidos ribonucleicos (miRNA), <\/strong>nucleot\u00eddeos envolvidos na modifica\u00e7\u00e3o da express\u00e3o dos genes e que provavelmente tenham influ\u00eancia nos processos que <strong>conseguem reduzir a inflama\u00e7\u00e3o e a prolifera\u00e7\u00e3o de c\u00e9lulas cancer\u00edgenas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O doutor Christos Mantzoros, diretor da pesquisa, disse que os testes realizados com os roedores demonstram que \u201cuma dieta com nozes causa mudan\u00e7as significativas nos perfis de express\u00e3o dos miRNA nos tecidos do c\u00e2ncer de intestino, incorporando \u00e1cidos graxos protetores nestes tumores\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Realizaram-se os trabalhos em dois grupos de roedores, aos quais se injetaram c\u00e9lulas de c\u00e2ncer de intestino. Um grupo foi alimentado com o equivalente a 60 gramas de nozes por dia, enquanto o outro recebeu a alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de controle.<\/p>\n<p>Ap\u00f3s 25 dias de testes, os pesquisadores identificaram que o grupo de ratos alimentados com nozes apresentou um <strong>aumento de at\u00e9 10 vezes a quantidade total de \u00e1cidos graxos de \u00d4mega-3<\/strong>.
