{"id":8147,"date":"2015-10-21T06:54:25","date_gmt":"2015-10-21T06:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.funiber.org\/pt\/?p=8147"},"modified":"2015-10-21T06:54:25","modified_gmt":"2015-10-21T06:54:25","slug":"funiber-cientistas-identificam-pontos-de-inflexao-causados-por-mudancas-climaticas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.funiber.blog\/pt\/meio-ambiente\/2015\/10\/21\/funiber-cientistas-identificam-pontos-de-inflexao-causados-por-mudancas-climaticas","title":{"rendered":"Cientistas identificam \u201cpontos de inflex\u00e3o\u201d causados por mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uma equipe internacional de <strong>cientistas identificou 41 \u201cpontos de inflex\u00e3o\u201d que poderiam gerar mudan\u00e7as abruptas no clima de algumas regi\u00f5es.<\/strong> Os pesquisadores indicaram que, embora os modelos mostrem v\u00e1rias mudan\u00e7as abruptas prov\u00e1veis, seria muito dif\u00edcil prever quando e onde elas ir\u00e3o ocorrer.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>O diretor da pesquisa, Sybren Drijfhout, da \u00e1rea de Ci\u00eancias do Oceano e da Terra da Universidade de Southampton, no Reino Unido, ressaltou que n\u00e3o se trata apenas de identificar as mudan\u00e7as que poderiam ocorrer se ultrapass\u00e1ssemos a barreira dos 2 \u00b0C, porque \u201cos resultados mostram que <strong>n\u00e3o existem limites seguros e muitas mudan\u00e7as abruptas ocorreriam como consequ\u00eancia do aquecimento global, inclusive com n\u00edveis abaixo dos dois graus\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>O estudo, publicado na <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America<\/a> (PNAS), identifica 41 pontos de mudan\u00e7as abruptas regionais no oceano, no gelo marinho, nos n\u00edveis de neve, no permafrost e na biosfera terrestre. Muitos destes eventos ocorreriam em um ambiente com temperaturas abaixo do limite dos 2 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Gra\u00e7as a esta pesquisa foram detectadas prov\u00e1veis mudan\u00e7as abruptas nos padr\u00f5es de circula\u00e7\u00e3o dos oceanos e mudan\u00e7as na vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o e na produtividade marinha, mas n\u00e3o se pode assegurar que o impacto ser\u00e1 registrado em apenas uma regi\u00e3o, porque<strong> as altera\u00e7\u00f5es podem ter consequ\u00eancias em diversas regi\u00f5es simultaneamente.<\/strong> V\u00e1rios modelos estudados apresentam mudan\u00e7as abruptas no gelo marinho, na Floresta Amaz\u00f4nica, no permafrost da tundra e nos n\u00edveis de neve no Tibet.<\/p>\n<p>Victor Brovkin, pesquisador do Instituto Max Planck de Meteorologia (MPI-M) e coautor do estudo, indica que as mudan\u00e7as abruptas no clima<strong> poderiam ocorrer como uma cascata de diferentes fen\u00f4menos.<\/strong> \u201cPor exemplo, o colapso do permafrost no \u00c1rtico \u00e9 seguido por um r\u00e1pido aumento da \u00e1rea ocupada pela floresta. Este tipo de efeito domin\u00f3 deve ter efeitos n\u00e3o s\u00f3 para os sistemas naturais, mas tamb\u00e9m para a sociedade\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Por sua vez, Mart\u00edn Claussen, diretor do MPI-M e coautor do estudo, explicou que as <strong>mudan\u00e7as abruptas ocorrer\u00e3o longe das \u00e1reas urbanas e, portanto, n\u00e3o ser\u00e3o t\u00e3o evidentes para todos<\/strong>, mas a ocorr\u00eancia destes fen\u00f4menos podem ter implica\u00e7\u00f5es inclusive em regi\u00f5es localizadas a grandes dist\u00e2ncias. \u201c<strong>Nosso trabalho \u00e9 um ponto de partida<\/strong>.
