Para isso, muitos dispositivos v\u00eam sendo desenvolvidos para acumular dados, em propor\u00e7\u00f5es gigantescas, atrav\u00e9s dos data center. Agora, um novo componente, chamado memristor, poder\u00e1<strong> ajudar aos sistemas a encontrar e relacionar estes dados, simulando o c\u00e9rebro humano<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>O termo <strong>memristor<\/strong> \u00e9 a contra\u00e7\u00e3o de duas palavras, mem\u00f3ria e resistor, cunhado em 1971 pelo te\u00f3rico <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eecs.berkeley.edu\/~chua\/\" target=\"_blank\">Leon Chua<\/a> para indicar um componente fundamental na teoria dos circuitos capaz de similar uma resist\u00eancia vari\u00e1vel entre corrente e tens\u00e3o. Ap\u00f3s 37 anos, em 2008, os engenheiros da <a href=\"http:\/\/www8.hp.com\/br\/pt\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\">Hewlett Packard<\/a> conseguiram captar a ideia e construir o primeiro memristor. Agora, muitos investigadores acreditam que <strong>o componente poder\u00e1 revolucionar o mundo de eletr\u00f4nicos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Um exemplo est\u00e1 sendo desenvolvido pela startup de New Mexico, <a href=\"http:\/\/knowm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Knowm<\/a>, que vem desenhando memristors capazes de imitar os c\u00e9rebros humanos a partir do fluxo de dados guardados na mem\u00f3ria dos computadores. A empresa j\u00e1 apresentou alguns prot\u00f3tipos que inclu\u00edam chips com circuitos digitais an\u00e1logos, pacotes de software e algoritmos. De acordo com o CEO da Knowm, <a href=\"http:\/\/knowm.org\/teams\/alex-nugent\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Nugent<\/a>, o atual memristor \u00e9 um \u201cprocessador em aprendizado\u201d que trabalha com CPUs, GPUs e outros processadores.<\/p>\n<p>Os chips desenhados ser\u00e3o melhor aproveitados em modelos de aprendizado de m\u00e1quina para fazer previs\u00f5es baseadas em padr\u00f5es e tend\u00eancias, ajudando sistemas de intelig\u00eancia artificial a conectar dados. Os computadores poder\u00e3o aprender e tomar decis\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>Por exemplo, carros sem motoristas poder\u00e3o utilizar deste componente para associar objetos e a\u00e7\u00f5es. Ou aplica\u00e7\u00f5es poder\u00e3o identificar doen\u00e7as a partir de sintomas guardados na mem\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n<p>Os <a href=\"http:\/\/www.funiber.org.br\/areas-de-conhecimento\/tecnologias-da-informacao\/\" target=\"_blank\">alunos de TI<\/a> da <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.funiber.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\">FUNIBER<\/a><\/strong> podem come\u00e7ar a pesquisar sobre o tema. Os memristors podem ser constru\u00eddos com diferentes materiais, n\u00e3o necessariamente sil\u00edcio, e por isso representam uma nova classe de microchips.
