Este material inclui a pele, a fibra e as sementes que s\u00e3o dificilmente reutiliz\u00e1veis.<strong> Para recuperar este res\u00edduo, Navas est\u00e1 coordenando um projeto para transformar os restos do tomate em biopl\u00e1stico industrial.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cO mercado demanda cada vez mais biopl\u00e1sticos cuja mat\u00e9ria prima costuma ter uma origem vegetal, e que representam uma alternativa com grande potencial aos materiais pl\u00e1sticos que se obt\u00eam do petr\u00f3leo. Por tanto, estamos diante de um projeto que pode ter um grande potencial e muitas possibilidades para empresas alimentarias e do setor do pl\u00e1stico\u201d, defende o pesquisador.<\/p>\n<p>Por enquanto, o projeto est\u00e1 na fase piloto, a partir da parceria do <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andaltec.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Centro Tecnol\u00f3gico do Pl\u00e1stico (Andaltec)<\/a> e o Instituto de Ci\u00eancias de Materiais de Sevilha. <strong>O procedimento para a reciclagem do tomate usa m\u00e9todo j\u00e1 patenteado que permite obter um biopl\u00e1stico sint\u00e9tico que ret\u00e9m as principais propriedades do produto natural.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nava explica que o material apresenta uma caracter\u00edstica especial por se aderir de maneira eficiente ao metal sem necessidade de outros componentes adesivos.
